Corruption scandals, illegal eavesdropping, political tensions over the election of a new speaker of the Macedonian parliament have attracted the attention of the international community.
The new coalition government formed by Social Democrat leader Zoran Zaev sees EU integration as a top priority. The country faces a long and difficult road of rapprochement with the Euro-Atlantic community. The main challenges are the fight against corruption, the establishment of the rule of law and equality for citizens.
