Timothy Garton Ash is Professor of European Studies in the University of Oxford, Isaiah Berlin Professorial Fellow at St Antony's College, Oxford, and a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Two of his books are translated into Bulgarian: "Free world" and "The File: a personal story". He is the author of 10 books on contemporary European history. He awarded numerous international prizes, most recently the Charlemagne Prize for his contribution to European unity, Aachen 2017.
