Plovdiv Economic Forum I

The Plovdiv Economic Forum is organised by the Delphi Economic Forum, Athens, Greece, and the Centre for Liberal Strategies, Sofia.


The forum commented on the challenges facing Bulgaria, the region and Europe. Its ultimate goal is to contribute to the successful transformation of Bulgaria and to unlock the potential for social and economic growth through dialogue and the sharing of ideas and visions. The Forum will be held annually in June in Plovdiv - a beautiful city with an important role in the economic development of the country.

The first edition of the Forum was held on 21 and 22 June, at the Imperial Hotel in Plovdiv. The first edition of the event was held on June and 22, 2018 in Plovdiv.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, many ministers, representatives of the local authorities, business, academics and experts attended the event (list of attendees) and discussed Bulgaria's potential in the economy of the whole Balkan region.
