A "1000 discussions for Europe” campaign has been launched in EU 25. Bulgaria as a not yet Member State was not included in the scope of the campaign. However, as a prospective member of the EU Bulgarians should be no less involved in debates on the new European Constitution. The aim of this “1000 + discussions for Europe” project was to deliver a Bulgarian plus-contribution to the envisaged 1000 discussions in EU 25 - to the benefit of both the Bulgarian citizens and the European constitution. The target group was a broader public rather than a specialized one and young people and students.The main activities included:
debates organized in partnership with The Red House - Centre for Culture and Debate;
on-line debates - in partnership with The Red House - Centre for Culture and Debate and in association with the daily newspaper Dnevnik;
articles on the EU Constitution in the daily newspaper Dnevnik and
preparation, publication and dissemination of a 50 pages booklet on the European Constitution.
